Visions of Hope 2016: last chance to visit the exhibition and party with us

The second edition of Visions of Hope at Visions of Hope Gallery, in benefit of Relay For Life Of Second Life, is coming to an end: today, May 30, is the last day for the public to place bids and help us rasing funds to fight cancer; tomorrow, May 31, we’ll celebrate the success of this year’s exhibition with a party led by DJ Hottie B. and announce the results of the silent auction held in SL. So, if you haven’t visited the exhibition yet, or would like to see the photographs and sculptures again, hurry up, you only have two days left, and if you want to place your bids, today is the deadline! In any case, do come party with us tomorrow, from 5PM to 7PM (SL Time), at the gallery: Hottie B. has been preparing an amazing set with his specialties, 80s and 90s tunes.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has visited the exhibition, the ones who have contributed with bids and donations and those who helped spread the word about the auction. Many thanks, as well, to the artists who kindly donated their works to the initiative: Bijou, Boudicca Amat, Ciottolina Xue, d-oo-b, Dru G. Eiren-Milneaux, Em Larsson (or Moira Law), Hills, Inara Pey, Mareea Farrasco, Nikolai Warden, Proph, Pusher, Randy FirebrandTomais Ashdene, Trinity Yazimoto and Ziki Questi. Finally, I’d like to express my gratitude towards Cupric Router, who was our DJ for the opening party, Hottie B., in charge of the tunes for the closing celebration, and Fly, whose support was really important to us.

In this edition, it appears that Visions of Hope will gather more than L$ 40,000 in bids (not counting the direct donations processed at the terminals at the gallery). We wouldn’t be able to do it without all the help we received. The funds raised will be fully reverted to RFL of SL, which is part of a larger initiative by the American Cancer Society to finance research and support cancer patients and caretakers – and since a few years now, Relay has been developing further and further into a global movement that benefits different communities and cancer organizations around the world.

So, again, come join us and let’s party tomorrow, May 31, from 5PM to 7PM (SL Time) at Visions of Hope Gallery, to celebrate the success of this year’s exhibition. See you there!

  1. A wonderful chance to help fundraise for a cause – and a cure – that effects so many people. I’d like to thank you Ricco and Randy, for organising this Event and allowing me to take part again this year.
Well done, and best wishes to all involved.

    1. Thank you, Boudicca, no matter what efforts we could have made, they’d be nothing without your collaboration and the collaboration of the other artists. You people are the best!
