Last chance to see ‘Visions of Hope’

This is just a quick reminder: the exhibition Visions of Hope: silent auction in benefit of RFL of SL closes today, May 31, with two events at the Hope Haven Heroes Gallery. First, there will be a party with DJ Cupric Router at 1 PM, SL Time, which will be the last public gathering for seeing the fabulous photographs by some of the most renowned photo artists in Second Life – and for placing a bid if one is so inclined. Then, at 4 PM, SLT, we will officially learn the results of the auction.

With the exhibition coming to an end, I’d like to thank once more the great artists who kindly donated their works: Bear Silvershade, Bijou, Boudicca Amat, Dru G. Eiren Milneaux, Em Larsson, Hills, Morgan Kincess, Pusher, Randy Firebrand, Serei Guena, Skippy Beresford, Tomais Ashdene, Trinity Yazimoto and Ziki Questi. It was a pleasure and an honor to work with them. Many thanks to Cupric Router, as well, for helping with the opening and closing party. And thanks to Fly and all the people involved, all the visitors we had, the ones who placed their generous bids, the ones who went there just for seeing the photographs – you all were amazing.

The auction was a great success. Frankly, I didn’t expect that volume of bids, which will all revert to Relay For Life, a campaign wich helps raising money for the American Cancer Society’s programs to improve cancer survival, decrease the incidence of cancer and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their caretakers. And if one still intends to place a bid, let me tell them: there are still some bargains there, just look at the works and you’ll find them.

So, that’s it. See you at the party at the Hope Haven Heroes Gallery.
